ESCAPE THE ADHD DUMPSTER FIRE Do you have ADHD or are you just plain “neurospicy🌶️”? I have 5 exercises to help you finally accomplish one simple task, avoid forgetting your glasses on top of your own head, and ultimately, stop using chaos as a form of stimulation.

Hi! I’m Jessica

Are you prone to distraction?
Is running late part of your regular cardio routine?

Do misplaced items lurk around every corner ready to pounce?

IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT. This is not a “you” thing. IT’S A WIRING PROBLEM.

And guess what? In 5 simple exercises, we can push those buttons, reset your brain, and get the computer up and running!

This course is better than coffee

Here’s what these drills can do:
  1. Learn what causes your brain to “short circuit”.
  2. Never have to guess again how to fix a “bad brain day.”
  3. Learn how to listen to and respond to your brain’s needs.
  4. Discover how to take your brain to the next level so you can complete the damn task.

Don’t Just take my word for it…

Here’s what a few of my clients had to say after working with me:

“Jessica was definitely a light in the dark when I was recovering and I don't know that I would have made this kind of progress so quickly in any other way! I highly recommend Jessica to anyone who wants to improve cognitive performance, function, memory, and even reduce anxiety. Thank you Jessica for your genuine caring, and being an integral part of my recovery!”
 - Gre

“I feel like I’m in the Matrix, and Jessica just reprogrammed my brain. I’m still me - but I think better, I feel better, and I can suddenly drive like I’m MacGyver. Seriously - I suddenly feel in control of the car in a whole new way! Doing my eye drills literally takes me from zero to hero. I don’t really get what we are doing, but I am excited to see what else is possible!”
 - Kristen

“I don’t really know how to explain it, other than to say that life is
different. I imagine this is how people feel when they take drugs - like you pop a pill and everything shifts. But I didn’t pop a pill - I just moved my eyes!”  - Gordon

What’s it gonna cost?... Not much!!

About Neuro Performance Coaching

The 5 exercises I have chosen for this course are not only designed to improve symptoms of ADHD… They are also an opportunity to experience Neuro Performance Coaching!

In Neuro Performance Coaching, we train each of the five categories of the nervous system: Vision, Vestibular (Balance), Movement, Fuel, and Sensory work (Feeling). Taking care of these five systems is what I consider Gold Star Neural Hygiene Practices!

The bad news is that if any of these systems are functioning less than optimally, they could be adding to or even instigating your focus or inhibition issues - regardless of whether or not you have ADHD… The GOOD NEWS is we can retrain each of these systems to improve the function of your brain!

In my other mini-courses, I choose drills specifically targeting each of these areas individually! But because ADHD impacts the communication between different areas of the brain, I have actually combined these 5 elements into MULTI-SENSORY EXPERIENCES designed specifically for ADHD!

At the end of this course, you will have effective exercises AND some suggestions on how to include each of the 5 points on the star into your self care plan!

Some questions you may have

about signing up for this course right now:

1. Neuro what? I still don’t get what this is!
You aren’t supposed to get it yet! That is what this course is about!
But here’s the gist: I’m going to share some different types of “inputs” for your brain to try on. You’re going to learn which inputs impact you, how they impact you, AND get a sense of what your brain may need to function at its highest capacity!

2. I don’t even know if I actually have ADHD! Is this course for me?
Yes. You do not need a diagnosis to benefit from this course. The exercises I have chosen are designed to stimulate the parts of the brain required to focus and and inhibit unwanted thoughts or behavior, regardless of whether or not you actually have ADHD.

3. How do I know if these drills will work for me? They might not! When it comes to working with the brain, we are all extremely unique: our neural needs are incredibly individual. What I need to make me better will often be different from what you need! The drills I have chosen for this course are the ones I have found to be the most consistently effective for improving focus, inhibition, and emotional regulation. Hopefully, one or more of these drills will be helpful for you… but if they aren’t, that is also valuable information about what is happening in your nervous system that we can use to create a roadmap forward for you.

My ultimate goal with this course is to provide you with some foundational knowledge about what is going on in YOUR brain, and then give you some new methods to try as you move forward on your journey to recovery.

ADHD is not only exhausting, expensive, and damaging, but - if left untreated - it can create a downward spiral of chaos that can further debilitate your brain.

Give your brain what it needs.
Stop the chaos!!!

Would you like to hear my story?

I personally wasn’t diagnosed with ADHD until I was 23. When I was a kid, it was the impulsivity or hyperactivity that got you flagged for ADHD… and I didn’t have either of those symptoms. I also loved school. I was the kid public education was created for - it was usually just the right level of challenge for my brain to feel stimulated, but easy enough that I could succeed. I got rewarded, so I happily came back for more. But that didn’t mean there weren’t glaring symptoms…

I have always been DISORGANIZED. My room was a disaster as a kid! It’s not that I didn’t want my room clean - I always felt better when it was neat and tidy (which was approximately 4 times a year). But I couldn’t seem to do it. The mental effort required to put clothes away actually seemed overwhelming for me!
It’s one thing for a kid’s room to be a little messy, but this all came to a head for me when I attempted adult life. “ADULTING" as it is now often referred to, was damn near impossible for me. Since I no longer had my mother to “motivate” me - keeping organized became unmanageable. Piles would accumulate everywhere and now I had even less energy to do anything about it. I would often stay up late because the effort required just to change into pajamas and brush my teeth was more than I felt like I had to spend. I’d just sit there staring at the walls sometimes, unable to take my socks off. It was like my brain had literally short-circuited.

I’d just sit there staring at the walls sometimes, unable to take my socks off. It was like my brain had literally short-circuited.

I wasn’t lazy. In fact, I was trying to do big things in my life - I was an aspiring actress with talent, drive, and extremely lofty goals. I worked like a fiend at my craft; but I had like zero life skills to actually manage a career. Just getting TO auditions was tricky for me. I locked my keys in my car at least once a month, I parked in no-parking zones and had my car towed away on multiple occasions. Once I did manage to get there, I’d be missing a shoe or a bra. (I cannot tell you how many times I purchased a bra in a nearby shop immediately prior to an audition!) I lost time, energy, and a boatload of money to my disorganized habits.

As an actress, I didn’t exactly make a ton of money, which is unfortunate because MONEY MANAGEMENT is one of my chief ADHD complaints. I used to talk about my “red 22s” - the string of $22 overdraft charges that would suddenly appear on my bank statement when life got busy. My father (who does NOT have ADHD) tried to teach me how to use a checkbook when I left for college - he explained to me that you simply subtract the amount you spend from the amount you have, and you keep track of it. I had enough self-knowledge at 18 to know that as simple as that was, that wasn’t going to work for me. And it didn’t.

I think that’s been the hardest part of having ADHD for me - KNOWING MY POTENTIAL, BUT FAILING AT BASIC LIFE SKILLS. I’m not dumb, nor am I willfully rebelling. I understand how things are supposed to be done. I get the value of discipline and habits, and I WANT TO DO THEM. There has always been some future version of me that I can picture doing all of these very useful habits that keep my head above water. (Much less trying to reach lofty goals!) But as I learned recently, ADHD disrupts the part of the brain that connects knowledge to action. I understand what I am supposed to do but, especially when it comes to things that are tedious or detailed oriented, there is a good chance I am not going to be able to do it.

This has all done a number on my self-confidence over the years. I grew up thinking I was destined for greatness, but it’s hard to feel great when you can’t even prevent mold from growing in your shower. (Mold is not a standard metric for ADHD. It’s just that I know that if I cleaned my shower every week, it wouldn’t happen. And so it stares at me as a constant reminder of my moral failings.)

Like so many people with ADHD, I am creative, excellent at big-picture thinking, have a ton of energy and enthusiasm, and can tackle challenges head-on. It simply doesn’t make sense that I would fail at anything on paper. But oftentimes, I get STUCK AT THE STARTING GATE. My potential is awesome. My ability to pull it into reality… less so. In fact, I have this unbelievably vast vortex of ideas to improve the quality of my life (and for life on the planet), but they have all remained in the land of potential up until very recently. And the longer I went on without actually bringing any of these ideas into fruition, the more painful life felt for me. I still have some work to do in grieving the losses of what I imagine my life could have been if my brain functioned the way I wanted it to, but I am beyond grateful for the tools I now have to actually bring my potential to fruition… Starting by sharing these tools with you!

MY RECOVERY

Medication did make a difference for me, but produced side effects that I wasn’t willing to tolerate. Talk therapy itself was useful in managing the emotional upheaval created by life with ADHD, but it offered little guidance in shifting my behavior. Extreme exercise and meditation helped me manage symptoms but weren’t sustainable.

Things really began to change when I found Z-Health Performance Solutions and brain-based training. I discovered some pretty severe deficits in my visual system, my vestibular (balance) system, and in my interoceptive system (the system that connects our sensory systems with our emotions). It was like receiving confirmation that yes, there was in fact something not quite right with my operational system!

Thankfully, I learned techniques to resolve these issues. Even small improvements in these systems made an obvious difference in how I felt. I was hooked, and I wanted to learn as much as I could! I spent the next 8 years working with world-renowned experts re-training these systems and other specific elements of my nervous system. Most importantly, I learned how to communicate with my brain so I could see what it was asking from me in any given minute… And I now had the tools to respond!! Piece by piece, my experience of life began to shift. I noticed I wasn’t staring off into space nearly as often. I had the capacity to put more and more habits into place, and my ability to show up began to improve.

The goal of any of this work is not to get rid of ADHD - it is about supporting my brain in the ways that it needs so that I can actually show up to life with all of my brilliant potential. The tools in this course, and in Neuro Performance Coaching in general, were the key that unlocked everything for me. They cleaned up the operating system enough that I could start to utilize other forms of support and build the skills needed for real change to occur.

I’m still very much a work in progress with this. But, I have awesome tools and a great support team. With that, I feel like I can actually do anything I put my brain to!

And I want that for all of us! Everyone deserves a chance to live their life at full potential, and that's why I'm so passionate about making sure this information is widely accessible.

And now it's YOUR TURN!

Thank you for reading my story. Now you are ready to dive into the world of Neuro Performance Coaching and gain a deeper understanding of what YOUR brain is asking for!!
